PM says sorry for Rotorua comments; local mayor says no need
Prime Minister Christopher Luxon told Rotorua businesses they had a "parent-child mentality," then apologised: "I got that wrong." Rotorua mayor Tania Tapsell, a former National MP who wasn't there, said he didn't need to. "The country needs leaders who tell the truth," she said. Chamber president Paul Ingram, who was there, wanted "genuine reflection behind it."
