Fighting Breaks Out Again in Ethiopia's Tigray Region

Ethiopia's government and Tigray rebels — who signed a peace deal in 2022 — resumed fighting on August 2. Hundreds fled to Sudan. The earlier war killed about 600,000 people. A rebel member said the violence was easing by August 3. Whether that lasts will show if the peace can hold.
