Thirteen Aboriginal Clans Want Their Own Land Council

Thirteen family groups in Arnhem Land want to leave the Northern Land Council and start their own, called the Dilak Land Council. Land councils help manage Aboriginal land. This would be the Northern Territory's first new one in 35 years. Announced at the Garma festival, the plan needs federal law to go ahead.
