EU Repair Law Is Now in Effect, but Many Countries Haven't Written It Into Local Rules

An EU law giving consumers the right to fix their own electronics took effect July 31, 2026 across all 27 member countries. But many nations haven't yet passed their own local versions, so people there can't actually use rights like free repair manuals, clear parts pricing, and longer warranties. Germany finished its law in early July.
