
European Soccer Groups Threaten to Skip Future World Cups Over FIFA's Investor Plan
Europe's 55 soccer nations voted to skip future World Cups if FIFA lets private investors buy shares of its biggest events. North and Central America's 41 nations also opposed the plan, together forming a 96-vote block in FIFA's 211-member body. FIFA said: "Nobody is selling football," and promised more talks before any vote.
