UEFA Votes to Boycott Future World Cups Over FIFA's Private Investment Plan
UEFA's 55 member associations voted to boycott future World Cups if FIFA creates FIFA Forward Enterprise, a subsidiary allowing private minority investors to buy stakes in flagship events. Concacaf's 41 members also rejected the plan, forming a 96-vote opposition bloc within FIFA's 211-member body. FIFA stated: "Nobody is selling football," and pledged continued consultation before any vote.
