Clark says Peters should be sacked over remark to Chinese-born MP
Former Prime Minister Helen Clark told RNZ that Winston Peters telling Chinese-born MP Lawrence Xu-Nan to "go back to your own country" could get him sacked. She said it threatens the government's three-party partnership. Xu-Nan moved here as a child and has lived in New Zealand 32 years. China has complained officially. Peters called critics "pearl clutchers and communist shills."
