ING loosens defence lending as new risk chief faces vote

ING eased its stance on lending to defence companies "from cautious to considered" the same week shareholders vote on Andrea Cesaroni as its new risk chief at a 31 July meeting. The role has been empty since Ljiljana Čortan left in February. Defence lending carries credit, reputational, and policy risks — an early test for whoever takes the job.
