Warming Winters May Let a Moth Stay in Britain Year-Round

A moth from southern Europe that looks like a hummingbird visits Britain each summer but normally dies off in winter. Ray Barnett, a bug expert, told the Guardian that if winters keep getting milder because of global warming, the moth could live there year-round. This is a possibility based on long-term warming, not yet confirmed.
