Man Who Stabbed Salman Rushdie Found Guilty of Terrorism

A jury found Hadi Matar guilty of terrorism for stabbing author Salman Rushdie in 2022. Prosecutors connected the attack to Hezbollah, an armed group, which had backed a 1989 religious order demanding Rushdie's death. Matar is already serving 25 years for attempted murder. He now faces up to life in federal prison.
