Startup Kedge launches fast-starting cloud platform

Kedge, built by a former Fly.io engineer, launches a cloud platform that starts new virtual machines in 3 milliseconds. That targets the slow startup delay cloud platforms have had since AWS Lambda launched. The preview runs across 11 regions. Users pay $15 per processor-month and $5 per gigabyte-month of memory, billed per second on what they actually use.
