Ferrari's First Electric Car Sells Fast, But Company Cuts Future EV Plans

Ferrari's first electric car, the €550,000 Luce, reached its 2026 sales goal of about 500 cars in just two months, per Reuters and the Financial Times on July 29, 2026. Even so, Ferrari halved its plan for electric car sales by 2030, from 40% to 20% of all cars made. Buyers were also told that buying a Luce could move them up waiting lists for other Ferrari models, making it hard to know true demand.
