Two states say no to federal clean-power plan for AI data centres

Queensland and the NT refused a federal plan forcing AI data centres — giant warehouses of computers — to use clean energy, with Canberra funding new power and covering their emissions. Every other state said yes. S&P Global warns these centres could use 10% of Australia's electricity by 2035. The federal government says it'll push on anyway.
