Xbox Outage Stopped Disc Games From Working

A broken online licensing service caused a 17-hour Xbox outage starting July 27, blocking sign-in, store access, and game launches across Xbox Series X/S, One, and 360. Even games on physical discs would not start, showing they need the same online check as downloaded titles. Xbox CTO Scott Van Vliet called it an "unacceptable situation."
