Motorola's Free Phone App Helps Preserve Ojibwe Language and Culture

Motorola launched a free app called Indigenous Collections for Android phones. It collects Ojibwe language, spoken stories, important places, and family knowledge. The Rainy Lake Ojibwe community helped build it, including teacher Jason Jones and Professor Anton Treuer of Bemidji State University. Anyone can download it from the Google Play Store. Only publicly shared knowledge appears; private material stays with the community.
