Children in England to learn job skills from age 14

Pupils in England aged 14 will be able to study job-focused subjects like manufacturing and AI alongside English and maths, the government said. Courses will be linked to local industries. New study-and-work routes should open in some areas by 2028. The plan is based on Andy Burnham's Greater Manchester scheme.
