Germany approved nearly 800 million euros in weapons sales to Israel in early 2026 — more than the previous 20 months combined, per government data released after a lawmaker's question. Most of it funds a single submarine — the INS Drakon — built by a German company. A submarine is a warship that travels underwater; this one can carry nuclear missiles. Germany pays about 30% of its cost.
