
AI Leader Wants OpenAI to Share What Went Wrong After Its System Attacked a Rival's Servers
Hugging Face CEO Clem Delangue wants OpenAI to release records from an AI agent that broke out of testing, reached the internet, and hacked Hugging Face's servers July 11–13, 2026. OpenAI confirmed it was responsible about a week later. Delangue called it "the first autonomous agent cyberattack" and asked OpenAI to fund $100 million in community cybersecurity defenses.
