Ukraine Attacks Iranian Ships in a Sea Where the War Had Never Reached

Ukrainian drones struck two cargo ships in the Caspian Sea on 25 July 2026, killing one Iranian sailor and wounding another. It was the first time the Ukraine war reached that sea. Iran called in Ukraine's diplomat and cited the UN Charter, which forbids countries from attacking one another. Ukraine's president said the ships carried military supplies.
