
Car drives into Berlin Pride parade crowd, killing one person
On July 25, 2026, a car drove into a crowd at Berlin's Pride parade, a yearly celebration of LGBTQ+ rights. One person died and at least 14–15 were hurt, according to DPA, AP, Deutsche Welle, and The Guardian. Officials cancelled the parade. Mayor Kai Wegner called it an attack on a free society. The driver's motive is unknown.
