
Iran Says US Broke Shipping Rules as Bombing Pauses
Iran said on July 25 that the US forced a new shipping path through the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway Iran helps oversee. Iran says a June 2026 deal gave it that authority. The accusation came as US nightly strikes on Iran paused for the first time since July 8. Mediators passed messages between both sides, but neither reported much progress.
