US Stops Tanker That Tried to Run Blockade on Iran Four Times

On July 25, 2026, US forces shot into a cargo ship's engine room in the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow shipping lane between Iran and Arabia, after its crew tried at least four times to get past a US blockade of Iranian ports, said Captain Tim Hawkins. The ship stopped heading to Iran. It is the second ship the US has disabled since the blockade began.
