Activist Stops 26-Day Hunger Strike After Government Talks

Activist Sonam Wangchuk stopped a 26-day hunger strike on July 24, 2026, after meeting with federal ministers J.P. Nadda and Jitendra Singh. Wangchuk said he stopped because of possible violence. The strike supported the Cockroach Janta Party over leaked exam papers. Protesters said they will keep going until Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.
