Google Brings AI Assistant Directly Into Cars

Google is embedding its Gemini AI assistant into car systems made by Volvo, GM, and Renault. Unlike voice assistants on your phone, Gemini will control climate, navigation, and charging recommendations built into the vehicle itself—and works without an internet connection. This approach competes with Apple CarPlay and automaker systems as cars become more software-driven.
