Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, released July 17, 2026, is the first movie filmed entirely on IMAX 1570 cameras — huge devices weighing as much as a grand piano. Nolan worked with IMAX to muffle their noise so actors' voices could be recorded, a first for these cameras. The $250 million film may earn $80–100 million its opening weekend in North America.
