
Former Marine Running for Office Charged With Threatening Trump
Federal authorities charged William Upham, 35, with threatening to kill President Trump, the Justice Department announced July 16. Upham is a former Marine, ex-prosecutor, and write-in Republican candidate for Congress in Florida. The Secret Service acted on social media videos showing Upham, in uniform, calling for the government's overthrow. If found guilty, he faces up to five years in prison.
