Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway that about 20% of the world's oil passes through daily. The U.S. fired back by blocking all ships going to or from Iran's ports. It's unclear how either side will enforce this. Oil is around $81 a barrel; U.S. diesel tops $5 a gallon.
