Bose Is Now Letting Other Brands Use Its Noise-Canceling Tech

Skullcandy's $270 Crusher 1080 headphones, reviewed by Engadget on July 16, 2026, are only the second product in Bose's new Sound program, which lets other brands use Bose's noise-canceling and audio tuning technology at lower prices. Bose previously kept this tech exclusive to its own headphones. The first was Skullcandy's Method 360 ANC earbuds.
