Oil Prices Fall Below $100 a Barrel for First Time Since October
Brent, a global oil price, fell below $100 a barrel on November 4, down about 10%, Bloomberg reported. First time since early October. Traders bet Democrats will sweep the US midterm elections, and hopes for an end to the US-Israeli war with Iran are rising. Neither is confirmed. Cheaper oil slows inflation or rising prices and can lower mortgage rates.
