Scarlett Johansson told Entertainment Tonight that her undisclosed role in The Batman: Part II was "very hard to figure out", pushing her well outside her comfort zone, Variety reported on 4 November 2026. She made the remarks promoting her film Paper Tiger. Director Matt Reeves confirmed her casting in May. Sebastian Stan and Brian Tyree Henry are cast in undisclosed roles too.
