New Ocarina of Time Remake Looks Sharper but Keeps Original Story and Gameplay

Nintendo's Ocarina of Time remake, exclusive to the Switch 2 console, swaps the original's blocky 3D shapes for far sharper graphics. A review by Engadget, published 4 November 2026, says the story, map layout and gameplay are unchanged, unlike the Final Fantasy VII remakes. Art director Aya Shida said the goal was to rebuild Hyrule while keeping the original's feel.
