
Senator's Sister Gets Temporary Seat, Election Set for Later This Year
South Carolina's governor appointed Darline Graham Nordone, sister of Sen. Lindsey Graham, to fill his Senate seat after he died July 11 at age 71. President Trump and Sen. Tim Scott backed the choice. She'll hold the seat until early 2027. A Republican primary on August 11 will decide who gets the full six-year job.
