
Graham's Sister Appointed to Fill Senate Seat, With Trump and Scott's Backing
South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster appointed Darline Graham Nordone, sister of Sen. Lindsey Graham, to fill his Senate seat following his death on July 11 at age 71. President Trump and Sen. Tim Scott publicly endorsed the choice. Nordone's appointment runs through early January 2027. A special Republican primary is set for August 11 to determine who holds the seat for a full six-year term beginning in 2027.
