Andy Burnham to Lead Labour Party Unopposed

Andy Burnham will become Labour Party leader without facing a contest. Alistair Carns dropped out on 8 July, and Wes Streeting decided not to run either. Nominations open Thursday. Normally this process takes months, but with no rivals, Burnham could become prime minister by 20 July.
