Maine Democrat Stays in Senate Race Despite Assault Accusation

Graham Platner won Maine's Democratic primary in June but won't leave the race after an ex-girlfriend accused him of sexual assault. Party leaders and Sen. Bernie Sanders asked him to quit. The Washington Post reported July 8 that Platner is refusing to step aside to face Republican Susan Collins.
