Apple's New iPad mini Gets a Bigger Screen

Apple has announced an iPad mini with an 8.5-inch OLED screen, up from 8.3 inches. It came days before its "Pro and tell" event on Wednesday. OLED screens light each pixel individually, for deeper colours. The tablet is 5.4mm thick and resists dust and water. Wi-Fi-only models start at $699. Preorders open October 28; sales begin November 6.
