Test Finds Kimi K2.6 Formats AI Tool Requests Correctly 92% of the Time

Ubicloud found Kimi K2.6, an AI model served through vLLM 0.28, formatted tool requests correctly 92% of the time. That leaves 2 of every 25 failed. A failed request cannot be processed, so in agent loops, where AI chains tasks, software must retry or abandon the step. The findings appear in an October 26, 2026 blog post.
