Android TV owners use AI-written tools to remove ads and tracking, no hacking needed

Owners of TCL, Hisense and Sony Android TVs are using AI-written tools to remove sponsored content and block viewing-data collection. The tools use built-in developer settings and a standard connection tool, needing no administrator-level access (called root), and every change can be undone. Samsung's Tizen and LG's webOS have no similar non-root option; Roku and Vizio SmartCast are unsupported.
