Netflix Adds Short Videos from Publishers as Show Sequels Lose Viewers

Netflix is adding 3-to-20 minute videos from BuzzFeed, Condé Nast, Variety, and Rolling Stone starting August 3. The videos come from new deals and existing archives that would normally premiere on YouTube. The move appears timed to address a sharp drop: some Netflix show sequels are losing up to 70 percent of the viewers who watched the original season.
