Oil's main world price ended at $109.55 a barrel, down 31 cents, after dropping more than $3 earlier in the day, Reuters reported 19 October 2026. Reuters said the fall followed a Trump waiver, or permission slip, that could let more Russian fuel reach markets. For drivers, petrol prices also reflect tanker shipping and insurance risk, not just oil produced.
