Disney to Buy Parts of Character.AI and Hire Its Workers

Disney will pay $20 million for parts of startup Character.AI and hire at least 60 workers, over half its staff, after its October bankruptcy filing. Disney estimates $60 million in yearly wages. Most accepted. The deal is a first bid, like an auction opener others can top.
