Free coding helper OpenCode reports break-in affecting some users

OpenCode, a freely shared AI helper that writes computer code, said Oct. 17, 2026 it was broken into in a large copying attack, where outsiders harvest AI answers, affecting 1.4% of Console users. It emailed those users that morning. The problem is ongoing, and OpenCode is fixing it with Anthropic, OpenAI and Google.
