Sky Buys ITV's TV Business; ITV Becomes a Hits Factory

Sky, owned by American company Comcast, is buying the part of ITV that broadcasts shows and streams programs for £1.6 billion. ITV keeps its studio arm—the team that makes Love Island and I'm a Celebrity—and will focus on selling these shows worldwide. This leaves the BBC as Britain's last major broadcaster not owned by Comcast.
