Market Up, But Many Stocks Down

America's 500 biggest stocks, tracked together, are up 14% in 2026, Reuters reported Oct. 12, but over 200 of them are down. Tech alone explains more than 10 of those 14 points. I read that as narrow strength, like a team carried by one star — risky for savers if tech profits stumble.
