A Rocket Made a Glowing Jellyfish in the Sky

A SpaceX Falcon 9 cargo rocket launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 6:33 a.m. ET Oct. 13, leaving a glowing jellyfish-shaped cloud seen from Georgia to New York. It flew northeast over the Atlantic 48 minutes before sunrise. Its spreading cloud of leftover fuel froze high in the air, like frost, and caught sunlight.
