UK Schools Drop Controversial Autism Guidance

Britain's school inspectors have removed training materials that linked autism to extremism risk. The guidance, used to evaluate school safety, suggested autistic children were vulnerable because of their intense interests and time online. After a year of campaigning by disability groups and naturalist Chris Packham, officials scrapped it in July 2026. Schools still lack clear replacement guidance.
