Cricket Game Stopped After Farm Bull Wanders Onto Playing Field

A young bull weighing about 1,750 pounds escaped a farm near Newcastle and walked roughly a mile to a cricket ground on 4 July, forcing organizers to cancel the game. The animal charged at players and farmers trying to bring it back, slightly injuring one person. Police came; the bull eventually left on its own. The home team had been winning their league.
