Most Americans Feel Worried About the Country Right Now

A major poll released July 1, 2026, asked 1,340 Americans how they felt about the country as it approaches 250 years old. Nearly one-third said they were worried—more people picked that than any other feeling. Twenty-two percent said frustrated. Most people also said they felt proud. So Americans feel both hopeful and concerned at the same time.
