Oil passes $106 - what it means for petrol prices
Oil futures — orders for Brent crude, the world benchmark — rose 1.8% to over $106 a barrel on Oct. 12, 2026, the Wall Street Journal reported, as fighting flared in the Middle East and Ukraine. That often means pricier petrol and heating, and higher prices overall. In my view, buyers pay for worry, not a real supply cut yet.
