EU and China agree to limit hybrid cars from China
EU and China agreed in Beijing to limit Chinese hybrid cars — part petrol, part electric — to 350,000 a year for four years from December, the Commission confirms. About 800,000 were likely to be sold in 2026, so this cuts that flow by more than half. It uses WTO safeguard rules, like an agreed speed limit on trade.
